WALHT: I am learning to solve addition and subtraction problems with integers (positive and negative numbers). 


Success Criteria:

I'll know I can do this when I can solve simple addition and subtraction problems involving positive and negative numbers.

Something I found hard was when I found out that when you add integers it actually turns into a subtraction question.

Reading Papango

WALHT: I am learning to apply our prior knowledge to a text.

Success Criteria:
I'll know I can do this when I can think of ways I have connections to a text and I can use those connections to help decode unfamiliar words and ideas.

Next time I will... Find some more interesting facts by looking at several different sources of informations e.g. different websites, books etc.

Art Attack: Don Binney

WALHT: We are learning to create Art inspired by Don Binney.

Success Criteria:

I'll know I can do this when I have created a landscape with a foreground, middle, and background.

My bird and my background are coloured using pastels and natural colours. 
Something I found hard was doing the right type of shades and colours for my art.

Peace Week 2017

I have been learning about Peace Week.

Peace Week is an annual tradition organised by The Peace Foundation every year. You can learn more about The Peace Foundation by following this LINK.

As a way to learn about Peace Week I did three different Peace Week activities.

With Miss Brennan we created a poster to help promote peace and Peace Week.

With Mrs Baker we made hand print doves and wrote messages of peace on them.

With Mr Horn we looked at the symbols of peace such as the dove and created origami doves.

Term 1/2 Student Led Conference 2017

           My Learning From Term 1/2 2017

At my student led conference for 2017 I shared my Tiki art, my statistical investigation, maths,literacy, Kiva and my Integrated Learning.   

First I welcomed my parents to my student led conference. Then I shared my reading.I shared 5 of my SML's tasks.
